Class 3 have a Zoom call to start the day Monday-Thursday at 9am. They complete a short activity and are introduced to the activities for that day. They have access to a Literacy, Maths and Topic lesson each day. There are three colour coded grids for Class 3 with each grid having learning for different abilities. Children access the grid which the teacher assigns them. Grids are posted to Seesaw on Sunday afternoons. Regular announcements are posted to Seesaw to keep children up to date with Zoom timetables and activities. The activities and worksheets are all posted on Seesaw and can be printed off or completed online.
Class 2 have a daily Zoom call at 3.00pm each day with an activity. They also have two Zoom Literacy lessons on a Wednesday/Thursday. They also access the coloured grids. They have a daily video with story read by a teacher each day and then an activity based on the book. The children then complete Phonics learning , a Maths lesson, a Literacy lesson and a topic activity. They have been assigned a colour grid which they can access at home which is based around a theme for the week - currently a holiday that is celebrated somewhere in the world that week. There are also a series of independent booklets and activities uploaded on Seesaw and teacher tutorials, where the teachers explain different methods, or activities, in Maths and Literacy.
Class 1 have activities for everyday posted onto Tapestry. Parents can submit work and teachers will comment and mark children’s progress. The children have access to stories read by members of staff. The work for the week is uploaded on the weekend in colour coded grids. Children have access to a wide range of topics suitable to their age group. Children in Class 1 have a Zoom call at 9.30am daily where teachers and children can keep contact with each other. This session might be a game, activity, story or show and tell.
